In 2013, Rob met David at a school in Thailand that taught Burmese students the Word of God and life skills. David, who has a masters degree from a Baptist theological college, served as Rob’s translator at the school.
Following their work together, David invited Rob to his village to lead revival meetings.
During the first night of the revival, 200 people came forward for healing. As David laid his hands on a person who came forward for healing, David was immediately baptized in the Holy Spirit.
In David’s home, the children do the ministry!
After ministering alongside Rob for six months, David returned to Myanmar where he cared for children with addictions to drugs. Unexpectedly, a pastor brought him two young children that did not have a home. David prayed and felt God telling him to stop caring for the older children and take care of the younger children. David went from caring for two children to 14 children in one year. Now David has 24 children that he feeds and takes care of daily in one home in Tachileik, Myanmar.
David has created a culture in his home where children are taught about the unconditional love of Jesus. And after they receive Jesus, David teaches each one how to hear the voice of God, as well as how to prophesy and pray for those with illnesses. In addition, David also helps each child grow academically, socially and emotionally.
Now David’s children, many of whom have parents that are either dead, in jail, or drug addicted, are known throughout the city. People call the children to pray for them when they’re sick or they just want to worship Jesus or a prayer blessing in their home.
The impact the Holy Spirit is having in the lives of these children is reaching beyond the borders of Myanmar. The love and adoration these children have for God is a testimony of God’s goodness and faithfulness to every person they meet.
